Centred on operations and the customer
AGC Flat Glass Europe is basically an operating entity supported by a light structure of central services. Its organisation is customer-centred, oriented towards the markets and their specific requirements. This organisation is made up of two divisions: Raw Glass and Processed Glass. Each of these in turn is made up of several business units operating in liaison with the specialist units.
- The Raw Glass division develops and produces glass in large dimensions (generally 6 x 3.21 m). Its products are destined for processing. The processing is done either internally by the Processed Glass division, or externally by the customers themselves. The division has five business units: Float Glass, Coated Glass, Patterned Glass, Laminated Glass and Mirrors.
- The Processed Glass division processes the raw glass into finished products. This processing is done by its three business units: Architectural Glass (outside glazing, mirrors and glass for interior decoration), Industrial Products (glass for ships and trains, fire-resistant glass, solar control glass, and thin glass for high-tech applications) and domestic Appliances Glass (joint venture with Schott).
