These are just some of the tasks you will perform as part of learning the trade.
The program is made up of six modules, each lasting from 1 to 6 weeks.
Between each module you will rejoin the department that hired you in order to continue your training or to carry out a particular project.
Module 1 : Introduction to the company -2 weeks
With the assistance of your induction team, you will devote the first days to becoming part of our organisation. This will include attending presentations on the AGC group, the R&D organisation and related departments (Safety & Environment, Intellectual Property, etc.), visits to the laboratories and team-building with the other trainees.
Module 2 : Meet the decision-makers - 1 week
You will complete your knowledge of the organisation of the AGC group at all levels, and meet the company’s decision-makers.
Module 3 : Intensive glass training - 4 weeks
You will receive intensive training in glass products (coated glass, laminated glass, toughened glass, surface treatments etc.) and production processes (magnetron, CVD, simulation/combustion etc.). This will be followed by in-depth training according to your area of specialisation (numerical simulation, LED/OLED etc.).
Module 4 : R&D assignment - 6 weeks
You will collaborate in a study set up by the R&D Centre, with the aim of developing your skills of analysis in a field outside your field of competence. This will require working across boundaries, forming links, bringing a new and critical view within the team and learning about the work of other people, thus enriching your experience.
Module 5 : Industrial assignment - 6 weeks
You will assist the engineers and technicians in charge of a production line, enabling you to share the experience of people with whom you may be working in future. You will learn about the production process, contribute assistance in a practical way, learn about the industrial complexity and build up a network of contacts.
Module 6 : Self-development training - 2 weeks
In addition to learning the technical and scientific tricks of the trade and becoming familiar with our organisation, you will benefit from training sessions aimed specifically at developing interpersonal relations and managing yourself: all key success factors in your future tasks. These will include: Leadership, Effective communication, Presentation techniques.
